What we do

Canonical is the publisher of Ubuntu, the OS for most public cloud workloads and the emerging categories of smart gateways, self-driving cars and advanced robots. Canonical partners with industry leaders to deliver enterprise-grade security, long-term maintenance and support on all major architectures, hardware and clouds. We also provide open source tools for the easy, secure and reliable deployment of software applications. These tools range from Ubuntu Core, the ultra-secure embedded Ubuntu, to container solutions for ROS applications and more. Ubuntu’s real-time kernel, now available in beta, delivers high performance, ultra-low latency and workload predictability for time-sensitive industrial, telco, automotive and robotics use cases. Our goal at Canonical is to provide secure, reliable open source everywhere – from the development environment to the cloud, down to the edge and to devices.
