The 2023 Vision, Robotics & Motion Trade Show was an industry-anticipated event that took place in the Netherlands on the 7th and 8th of June. The event was organized by Mikrocentrum and held at the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch1.

The aim of the trade show was to inspire and educate attendees about the potential for automation in the manufacturing sector and provide insights into the practical implementation of technologies like robotics, vision, and motion. It served as a platform for manufacturing companies to understand and explore ways to address challenges such as customer demands, lead times, workload, and personnel shortage through automation1.

The event featured an expo where participants could meet 100 manufacturers, system integrators, suppliers, and consultants who could provide suitable solutions and help with implementation.

Wevolver presents Robotics Report

Wevolver attended the event speaking to engineers and attendees engaging with the demo areas where attendees could learn from innovative applications from other industries such as logistics and agriculture.

Wevolver team members also presented their recently launched robotics report, The 2023 Manufacturing Robotics Report, to attendees at the Vision, Robotics & Motion event.

Young Talent Square

One of the highlights of the event was the Young Talent Square, which provided a platform for student-teams and start-ups to showcase their innovative solutions. Five start-up companies and two student teams were featured in the 2023 edition of the event1. Read more about these young teams in our recent article highlighting their technologies.

Connecting across industries

The event was not just a trade fair but also a conference where leading suppliers and scientists from the Benelux and Germany came to share the latest developments in fields such as vision, robotics, sensors, mechatronics, grippers, and drive and operating technologies.

As part of the Dutch high-tech ecosystem, the event was connected to Holland High Tech, a top sector for High Tech Systems and Materials in the Netherlands. Holland High Tech focuses on fostering innovation, collaboration, internationalisation, and economic growth in the high-tech sector, and it represents a wide range of companies, from multinationals to SMEs, start-ups, and scale-ups3.

In summary, the Vision, Robotics & Motion event in 2023 was a significant gathering that aimed to advance the manufacturing industry by sharing knowledge and innovations in automation and related technologies.

The next edition of the Vision, Robotics & Motion trade fair is scheduled for June 5 and 6, 2024. Would you like to know more about the next edition? Register then for their newsletter.
