Producing Medical parts with a Metal 3D printer

Metal 3D printing is opening new avenues in the medical field, particularly for producing custom implants and prosthetics with high precision. It enables the creation of complex structures, such as porous designs that support bone growth, which are difficult to achieve with traditional manufacturing techniques. Additionally, the use of materials like titanium, known for its strength and biocompatibility, makes 3D printing ideal for medical applications. The technology offers an efficient way to produce both custom and serial parts, supporting advancements in patient care through more personalized solutions.

MDE prints medical devices with two One Click Metal systems

The Italian medical device manufacturer MDE, based in Brescia, Italy specializes in the production of medical devices and supports clients through the R&D phase and prototyping. The company started with one 3D printing system from One Click Metal to print medical devices and prototypes in stainless steel. Recently they invested in a second system. The second system is dedicated to titanium, and further enlarges MDE‘S capacities to produce high-quality medical-grade components.
